FASHIONABLE PURSES WITH BEADS (3)

INGRADIENTS:-

1. Nylon thread and sharp needle.

2. Medium size round shaped beads about 100gm.

3. Medium size long or rice shaped beads about 100gm.






4. Thin sheet of sponge. You don’t have to buy these. Just collect it from the inside of newly bought shirt.

5. Satin cloth (for binding).

6. Chain of bag and cotton thread.

COLOR OPTION:-

The round shaped beads and rice shaped beads will be of different colors. It will be better if you choose one deep or dark shade and one light shade.

1. It will look gorgeous if you select red, blue, green, purple, dark pink or black rice beads with white round beads.

2. It will look vibrant if you select crystal gold, orange or yellow rice beads with red or green round beads.

3. Select light shade of oink for round beads with dark or navy blue rice beads. This combination is also nice.

4. Select the color of satin cloth same as the light shade of bead.

Select color according to your liking or a match with your dress.

FIRST PART:

1. Take the four fold nylon thread and needle in it and tie the two or three knots between the two ends in the same place so that it will not pass through the hole of the beads.

2. 1st Line -- Take four round beads and four rice beads and thread them alternatively (i.e. rice + round + rice + round + rice + round + rice + round). Then make a ring. Take the thread through one rice bead. Each ring will be formed with eight beads.

3. Take four round beads and three rice beads (as you already have one bead in the ring) and thread them to make a ring adjoining to the first ring.

4. Take four round beads and three rice beads and make a ring. Thus make 23 rings in total to form a chain. You can make more rings to alter the shape but it must be an odd number.

5. Joining the two ends of the long chain -- You have one rice bead in the thread. Now thread one round + rice + round beads. Then thread or take the thread through the side rice bead of the other end of the long chain. Then thread one round + rice + round + rice bead of the first position to make the final joint ring. Always make sure that there is even number of rings in this joined chain.

6. Second Line -- Take the thread through any one of the rice bead of right hand side of the chain to form above line. Take seven beads (4 round + 3 rice) and make a ring.

7. Take the thread through the first rice where the ring is started and then pass it or take it through the round bead ahead of it. Now thread a round bead and pass the thread through the side rice bead of next ring of first line. Thread round + rice + round + rice + round (3 round & 2 rice alternatively = 5 in total) and complete the second ring of second line.

8. Thus repeat the same process to complete the next ring and continue it to complete the line.

9. Joining – After making 23 rings in total in second line take the thread through the round bead ahead of the side rice bead of first line and thread a round bead + side rice bead of next ring of first line + a round bead + rice bead of 1st ring of 2nd line + a round + a rice + a round.

10. Take the thread through any one of the rice bead of right hand side of the 2nd line and thread 7 beads (4 round+ 3 rice) and form a ring.

11. Follow Pt. 7, 8, 9 and 10 to complete 3rd line. Thus make 9 -10 lines (or more).

12. Joining of one open end of the bag – Hold the two side of the bag very firmly and make sure that the rice beads of both sides are opposite to each other and simultaneously the round beads of both side are opposite to each other. Take the thread through any one of the side and thread a bead and thread the bead of opposite side. Now thread a bead + bead of the first side. Thus joining will continue and form rings of 4 beads each. Join the round beads with a round bead and Join the rice beads with a rice bead. Thus you can see one round and 2 rice beads are coming in the joint.

SECOND PART:

Handle : Follow Pt. 1, 2, 3 and 4 of 1st part and make a chain. The chain will be as long as you require.

Fix the handle chain with the two sides of the other open end of the bag. For fixing pass the thread through the side beads of the bag and the beads of the handle for 3 or 4 times so that it becomes firm and not easy to separate.

Decoration :

1. Make 2 or 3 open garlands with round and rice beads alternatively. The second one must be longer than the first one and the third one must be longer than the second one .

2. Join the two ends of the garlands with the one side of the bag keeping a certain distance.

THIRD PART:

Binding:

1. Fold the sponge once and cut it in such a way that it can easily fit inside the purse.

2. Cut the cloth. It should cover the two sides of sponge with an excess of 1-2 inches for folding and stitching.

3. Cover the both sides of sponge with the piece of satin cloth and fold the excess cloth between the three edges of sponge and stitch the sides.

4. Fold the binding of sponge and stitch its two sides. Now a sponge made purse is ready.

5. Enter the sponge made purse into the bead made purse.

6.  Join the two sides of the open end of bead made purse and the sponge made purse with strong stitches.

7. Stitch the chain with the two sides of the purse.

Now your bead made purse is ready to use.

FASHIONABLE PURSES WITH BEADS (2)

The concept of bead purses is not very modern one. It also existed in the era of our grandparents. Now various types of beads are available at market, so we have wide variety of designs now. You can take the basic lessons of bead work from your grand mothers. Or you can follow my series on bead made purses.

INGRADIENTS:-

1. Apart from needle and nylon thread, the main is round shaped crystal like or pearl like medium size (i.e. standard size or which size is the most common) beads of one color according to your choice. Buy approximate 150-200 gm.

2. Satin cloth (for binding).

3. Sponge and board. You don’t have to buy these. Just collect it from the inside of newly bought shirt.

4. Chain of bag and cotton thread.

5. White color crystal like or pearl like beads of water drop shape having a hole on above (side hole) not in the middle. (Optional)

COLOR OPTION:-

1. Select any color of your choice or a match of your dress.

2. Pearl white, crystal white, crystal black, vibrant red, crystal gold beads look very glamorous.

3. Original crystals are very costly. You can buy what is available at market to design your cloth or costume jewellery. These are made of plastic or glass.

PROCESS:-

1ST PART:-

Take the four fold nylon thread and needle in it and tie the two or three knots between the two ends in the same place so that it will not pass through the hole of the beads.

1. Take six beads and make a ring. (Take six beads in the thread and then pass the needle through the hole of the bead immediate next to the knot. Then pass it through one or two more beads of the ring. Thus a ring is formed.)

2. Then take five beads and make another ring adjoining to the first ring. (As you already have one bead in the ring.) Then make another ring taking five beads. Thus make 12 rings in total in first line.

3. Now you can see a notch both sides at the joining of two rings. Take the thread in the side of notch and take four beads to make a ring. (As you already have two beads in the notch.) You have to make rings ahead of the first ring of the second line adjoining to the first line. But before that take the thread in the back side of the ring among the notch of first rings of first line and second line. Then take four beads and make a ring. This ring looks like a bit outside of the first line. Then come back in the previous position and start to make rings with three beads. Thus make thirteen rings.

4. Make 14 rings in the third line above it following the same direction.

5. Make 15 rings in the fourth line.

6. Make 14 rings in the fifth line. This time make rings among the notches of the line of 15 rings.

7. Make 13 rings and 12 rings in the sixth line and the seventh line respectively.



SECOND PART:-

Prepare another part identical to the first part following same method.

THIRD PART:-

Now it will look like a little long hexagon.

1. Put one figure on a board and mark its outline with a pencil. Then remove the figure and make a straight hexagon from a little inside with the help of scale and pencil.

2. Cut the board accordingly.

3. Cut another piece of same shape from the board and two pieces of sponges of the same shape and same size.

4. Measure the length of five sides of the hexagon. One side should not be counted.

5. Cut 3 or 4 inches wide sponge of measured length. Then roll it in round shape. Take the thread and sew it so that the round sponge can’t be unfolded.

6. Put one piece of hexagonal board and a sponge on a satin cloth and cut the cloth in such a way that it can cover both sides of hexagon and some extra for sewing.

7. Fold that extra portion into the board and sponge and sew it from outside. Thus bind another piece of board and sponge.

8. Cut proper size of cloth for the long round sponge and bind it.

9. Take the beads figure and stitch it with the hexagonal board very strongly.

10. Then join the two boards with the two sides of long pipe shaped figure in such a way that it can be the shape of a bag with one open end.

11. Stitch the chain of bag with the two sides of open end and now your purse is ready to use.

FOURTH PART:-

Decorate your purse with crystal flowers or drop shaped beads according to your choice. E.g.

Thread the drop shaped beads with the beads of the purse in the following manner –

1. 3 beads in the 4th, 5th, 6th rings and 3 beads in the 10th, 11th, 12th rings of the forth line respectively.

2. 2 beads in the 4th, 5th rings and 2 beads in the 10th, 11th rings of the third line respectively.

3. 1 bead in the 4th ring and 1 bead in the 10th ring of the second line respectively.

In the world women fashion a bag or a clutch or a purse plays very important role. Be it a corporate dress or a party dress or a festive dress or a casual one, no attire is complete without a matching bag. It is not only enhances your personality but also carries your petty cash, cards, cell phone or regular cosmetics. So, nobody can avoid going out without a bag and have to keep ready a set of the same for going different occasions. Working ladies, college girls, housewives --- the women of all class or status spend a huge amount of money on this accessory made of leather for various purposes. Most opt for leather for its long lasting quality but the original leather is very costly. It is also “Save the Animals” awareness. Women of higher income group also opt for crystal made clutches (such as Swarovski etc.) which are glamorous as well as luxurious for its brightness. But every woman can’t afford it or have one at least.

The concept of beads accessories fulfills your wish of having lots of bags or clutches of various design and style. These beads purses are made of crystal like beads which are also very bright and have a shape like original crystals. Today the market of woman clothes is being ruled by golden laces, tincells, and beads. So beads are easily available at wholesale or retail market or stationery goods shops. Collect it from there and your beads purse yourself in your leisure time. It is also about creativity and an effort to do something different from others. You can also spend your pass time on it and earn your pocket money. You don’t have to go to anybody for learning it.

INGRADIENTS:-
1. Beads shaped like the diamond in cards (Follow image). Buy pink and yellow color beads of 100 grams each.

2. Nylon thread and sharp needle.
3. Yellow satin cloth (for binding).
4. Sponge and board. You don’t have to buy these. Just collect it from the inside of newly bought shirt.
5. Chain of bag and cotton thread.
COLOR OPTION:-
1.Do not select two deep or two light shade. Select one deep and one light shade of color for any design.
2.The color of satin cloth should be same as the lighter shade bead. And the chain also!
3.The ideal combination of beads are --- gold or yellow or white with emerald green, black or vibrant red or maroon with white, sky blue or light pink or light violet with navy blue, any light shade with black etc.
PROCESS:-
Take the four fold nylon thread and needle in it and tie the two or three knots between the two ends in the same place so that it will not pass through the hole of the beads.
First part:
1st Line --- Take four pink beads and make a ring. Then take three beads and make another ring adjoined to it (as you already have one bead in the ring). Thus make another seven rings of pink beads. Then take one pink and two yellow beads to make next ring. Take three yellow beads to make next ring. Take two pink and one yellow bead for next ring. Again make nine more rings of pink beads.
2nd Line --- Take the thread in the side by bead and make a pink ring with three beads. Take two pink beads and make the continuing ring (as you have two beads in the ring). Thus make six more pink rings. Take two yellow beads to make next ring. Make three more yellow rings taking two each. Take one yellow and one pink bead to make the next ring. Complete the rest of the line with pink beads (8 rings).
3rd Line --- Make seven pink rings + Next ring with two yellow beads +Five yellow rings then + Next ring with one yellow and one pink bead + Then make seven pink rings.
4th Line --- Six pink rings + Next ring with two yellow beads + Seven yellow rings + Next ring with one yellow and one pink + Six pink rings.
5th Line --- Five pink rings + Next ring with two yellow beads + Nine yellow rings + Next ring with one yellow and one pink + Five pink rings.
6th Line --- Four pink rings + Next ring with two yellow beads + Eleven yellow rings + Next ring with one yellow and one pink + Four pink rings.
7th Line --- Three pink rings + Next ring with two yellow beads + Thirteen yellow rings + Next ring with one yellow and one pink + Three pink rings.
8th Line --- Two pink rings + Next ring with two yellow beads + Fifteen yellow rings + Next ring with one yellow and one pink + Two pink rings.
9th Line --- One pink ring + Next ring with two yellow beads + Seventeen yellow rings + Next ring with one yellow and one pink + One pink ring.
10th Line --- Ring with one pink and two yellow beads + Nineteen yellow rings + Next ring with one yellow and one pink bead.
Second Part:
Make the similar one like the first part. But take yellow beads in place of pink ones and take pink beads instead of yellow beads. Thus the color pattern of the second part will be the reverse of the first part.
Third Part:
This part is the simplest one. Lay the one part on another part. Now you have to join the two parts.
1. Go to the corner of the pattern and pass the thread through the side bead of one pattern. Then take any of the pink or yellow beads (say yellow) in the thread. Then pass the thread through the same position bead of the next part and take another yellow bead into the thread. Now pass the thread through the side bead of any part. Thus a ring is formed.
2. Thus take one bead and make rings in the same way with the side by beads of the patterns.
3. Join the three sides of the two patterns.
Fourth Part:
1. Cut two pieces of board in such a way that it can easily fit inside the purse.
2. Cut two pieces of sponge of same size as the board.
3. Cut two pieces of cloth. Each piece should cover the two sides of one board with an excess of 1-2 inches for folding and stitching.
4. Keep one piece of sponge on a board. Cover the both with a piece of satin cloth and push the excess cloth between the three edges of sponge and board.
5. Stitch these three sides.
6. Do the same with the second piece of sponge, board and satin cloth.
7. Join the three sides of the two pieces of board bound with satin cloth. It will look like another purse.
Fifth Part:
1. Enter the board made purse into the bead made purse.
2. Join the two sides of the open end of bead made purse and the board made purse with strong stitches.
3. Stitch the chain with the two sides of the purse.
Now your bead made purse is ready to use.

FASHION WITH BEADS (2)

LONG BEADS CHAIN

Long chain of beads or bead garland (you can say) looks very nice on girls wearing printed dresses, casual tops or kurties. Buy large size beads for making chains. We usually do threading with two folds of thread in case of sewing or stitching. In this case make the thread four folds and make a long garland with beads. After the completion of threading tie the two ends of the thread very strongly so that it do not become loose and untied.

Style Tips:-

Long chain of same color but different size beads looks very trendy with a matching dress. Same chain of vibrant red or black can be wore with any dress. Long chain of multicolor and same or different size beads adds a bohemian touch with printed dresses. Long chain of metallic color small size beads adds an ethnic touch with long or short same color party dresses.



WRISTLETS

Wristlets are made in the same way as long chain. But thin rubber bands or elastic or metal wire should be used as thread in place of nylon one.

Style Tips:-

Large same size beads should be bought for wristlets. One color, bi-color or multicolor beads are in fashion.

BELTS

Beads belts can make your waist line very attractive. It is very easy to make. Just follow the following guide-lines.

First Line:-

1. Buy crystal beads of small size and round shaped. Color should be according to your choice.

2. Take a nylon thread of long length. Fold it once (i.e. two fold). Then pass it through the hole of the needle (i.e. four fold) and knot the ends strongly for twice or thrice so that this big knot can’t pass through the hole of beads. Cut the excess of thread after the knot with scissors.

3. Take four beads and make a ring (Pass the four beads through needle and then thread up to the knot at the last end. Then pass the needle through the hole of the bead adjacent to the knot).

4. Then take three beads and make another ring(Pass the three beads through needle and thread till the end. Then pass the needle through the hole of the bead where the needle was actually. And then pass the same through the second and third bead).

5. Take three beads and make another (third) ring.

6. Take three beads to make fourth ring. The process of making rings will continue in this way until the chain of rings reaches to the measurement of your waist.

Second Line:-

1. After completion of the above step, take the needle to your right hand side through the side by bead.

2. Take three beads and make a ring beside the chain from the side by bead. And take the needle before this ring through the beads.

3. Take two beads and make a ring. Continue the above step again. Take two beads and continue the same to make the third ring of second line.

4. Complete this line in the same process. You may add as much lines as you wish in this way.

5. You can buy beads of water drop shape having side holes at the end of it. And join these beads with the bottom line of the above belt maintaining a certain distance with needle and thread.

6. Tie the hooks with strong stitches at the two ends of the belt. Or you can tie zari-made thin ropes for buttoning the belt.

Style Tips:-

Belts with pearl color beads can be wore with modern zari-work chiffon saris. The same goes well with dresses of all colors and prints.

In these days colorful beads are very much common in fashion as well as style. In neckpieces, bangles, wristlets, earrings, patchworks in clothes, beads add a glamour touch every time. These dazzling crystal like beads are made of plastics/glass are shaped like gems.
You also know that these beads are also used to make many other accessories like show pieces, flowers on the vas, bags, purses, belts, door hangings, etc. But you don’t know how these things are made. These are very easy to make. It is as simple as you thread garlands. So, hurry up! Make your accessories yourself in this festive season and surprise your friends, colleagues, relatives.

Now you don’t have to run from market to market to get matching accessories according to your choice. You can design and create new things for yourself and make an exclusive style statement. One more thing! It also involves a lot of creativity. In spite of not being a fashion designer, you can explore a designer in yourself. Now the question is how you can make these things. Follow my articles, you will get it. For this purpose, first you have to collect the items for the accessories. The items are available at the stationery shops where the items for work-education of school kids are sold or at the shops where goods for sewing are sold or at the wholesale\retail market where all kinds of clothes, thread, golden lace, tinsell etc. are sold in bulk size. Of course the main item is beads of various shape and color and for threading you have to buy needle and nylon thread which are strong enough to carry the weight of beads. Also make sure that the bead should have a hole in it for threading.

In these days the conservativeness for fake jewellery has gone. Lighter jewelleries are preferred in place of costly gold and precious stone made jewelleries. These beads jewelleries are very fashionable, trendy and easily suits with western wears and casual dresses like jeans, skirts, three-quarters, shorts. Even it goes wonderful with modern balloon shaped frocks and evening wears.

CRYSTAL FLOWERS
The crystal flowers which decorate your flower vas can be used as fashion accessories. It is also very simple to learn.

1. First collect items ---- A piece of thin board, long shaped beads having side hole for petals, a round flat shaped having hole in center, thin metal wire for joining and adhesive.

2. Cut the board in round shape with compass. The diameter of it must be 1-2 inches more than the diameter of the flat center bead.

3. Pass the thin metal through the hole of the flat round shaped bead in half-way. Then bend the two sides of the metal wire below. Twist these two together and give it spiral shape.

4. String the metal wire in the center of the board and paste the flat bead on the board with adhesive.

5. Brush the adhesive on the rest portion of the board and paste the bottom of the petal beads surrounding the center beads.

6. After drying the adhesive your flower is ready to beautify your flower vas.

Style Tips:-
Make the crystal flowers without the metal wire and paste it on your fashion belts of beads or on those bought from shops with gums. It will be wonderful. Paste the same on your plain old broaches and use it to tie the plete of sari or dupatta. This flowers can decorate your also. Paste the flower on your old back clip or hairpin and flaunt the same on traditional occasions. It will catch many eyes.
